Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) is a necessary program practiced in most of public and few private hospitals introducing a guidance to the antibiotic use.

 

This program is supported by authorities and is mandatory for credentiality of hospitals. It also helps doctors to chose the correct antibiotic in complex clinical situation by the help of infectious diseases team to achieve the best outcome and the least possible complications and adverse effects.

 

AMS is ususally guided by infectious diseases team and expert pharmacists.
